“Jacci” Tricia Lea began her yoga practice in New Orleans as a way to
alleviate some back pain. She studied Iyengar yoga with her first
teacher, Georgia Anne Sears, for eight years before expanding her
practice to include other styles of yoga.  In 2003, she joined Sean
Johnson as he opened Wild Lotus Yoga in uptown New Orleans where she
taught for three year before moving to Asheville.  Jacci and her
husband, Alvin Young, arrived in Asheville just one week before
Hurricane Katrina.
Jacci feels that yoga is a practice that can benefit anyone no matter
what age or level of physical ability. One does not need to have a
flexible body to enjoy the calming benefits of yoga. She leads Basic
Yoga classes to guide beginners and experienced yogis and yoginis to
learn basic techniques in the postures as well as focus on breathing.
She also teaches a Gentle Yoga class, a time for gentle stretching,
relaxation, and meditation.
Jacci received her yoga teaching training at Living Yoga in Austin,
TX. Outside of the yoga studio Jacci  worked as a Medical Technologist
for 25 years. She enjoys cooking, meditation, walking and hiking with
her dog, and being with people.
